Location: London Ontario

As a member of the executive team, the VP, Finance is directly responsible for planning and directing all aspects of our clients financial and operational policies, objectives, and initiatives in support of their business strategy. To this end, the VP, Finance will focus on the ongoing, day-to-day management of the organization's financial affairs and internal processes to ensure maximum productivity and profitability. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this individual will also provide leadership by delegating tasks as necessary and ensuring the integration of strategic plans with company operations. The position is based in London Ontario.

Core Accountabilities:

General

  • Contribute to the strategic direction as a member of the senior leadership team;
  • In partnership with the CEO, develop and implement financial strategies, policies, procedures and controls to achieve corporate objectives;
  • Recruit, develop, manage and mentor employees as required;
  • Interface with all areas of the organization to ensure that daily operations are in alignment with strategic plans.

Finance

  • Oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, including budgeting, tax planning, capital funding, financial analysis, accounts payable/receivable, auditing, management of banking relationships, etc.;
  • Develop and implement appropriate financial and management information systems, reports, internal controls and analysis to safeguard assets and guide executive decisions;
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans; ensure corporate adherence to annual budgets;
  • Oversee the compilation of all required Financial Statements and reports, including the preparation of monthly and year-end statements, tax returns and government remittances, in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and government guidelines;
  • Facilitate and oversee any auditing conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution and swift closure of auditing activities;
  • Oversee the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Foster and develop collaboration between departments, business units, and other internal groups to ensure an integrated approach to meeting our clients goals and objectives
  • Provide financial guidance to management team including new business intiatives
